The Company

A mid-sized publishing company with a dynamic and collaborative culture. You will be leading the marketing efforts for a highly respected automotive sports portfolio (consumer website subscriptions, events etc).

The role of Digital Marketing Manager

With the input of senior management, you will be supporting all areas of the business through effective marketing – including subscriptions, editorial, e-commerce, events and brand. Planning, designing, measuring and implementing effective digital marketing campaigns, you will be involved in the full campaign life cycle - idea generation, content creation, campaign set up, testing, launching, analysis and reporting on campaigns.

This is a commercially focused and technically capable role, so the client is looking for someone with strong experience across digital marketing, subscriptions, systems, analytics and audience growth within a publishing or subscription-led business.

One of the key requirements for this position is a strong understanding of how marketing systems, websites, ecommerce platforms and subscription platforms connect together from both a marketing and customer journey perspective.

Requirements for this Digital Marketing Manager role

  • Experience within publishing, media, memberships, or subscription-led businesses
  • Strong understanding of subscription marketing, customer acquisition, and retention
  • Experience working across CRM, marketing automation, and customer lifecycle journeys
  • Technical understanding of how marketing systems, websites, ecommerce, and subscription platforms integrate and operate together
  • Experience with platforms such as Dotdigital, GA4, WordPress, HubSpot or similar tools
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with a data-led approach to decision making
  • Experience managing integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns across multiple products and audiences
  • A commercially minded mindset with strong attention to performance, optimisation, and ROI
