The role of Business Development Manager (political intelligence)

You will be selling access (via subscription) to the country's leading political intelligence platform which offers fast, accurate and relevant political monitoring, campaigning tools, and research services for public affairs professionals.

This is a newly created role and you will driving new revenues from the financial services sector, selling to Fintech, insurance companies and banks, many of whom would benefit from this platform but have never been contacted. 

The role is 100% new business focused and leads will come from a variety of places including marketing, an existing target list and personal lead development activity. You will primarily be selling to public affairs departments. You will begin by working from home but in time will be in the office 2-3 times a week.

Requirements for this Business Development Manager position (political intelligence)

  • Passion and knowledge of politics/political issues or a political degree (must have)
  • Experience of selling into (and contact network) across one or more of the following sectors: fintech, retail banking, investment banking, insurance (Must have)
  • 4-8 years sales experience - most of which has been new business
  • Subscriptions sales experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Active and ongoing interest in politics
  • Stable career history
  • Process driven approach to sales
  • A proven track-record of exceeding target
  • Polished, articulate and confident
  • The ability to talk with authority about political issues
