The Role of Business Development Manager

As Business Development Manager you will be selling subscriptions to 2 leading business intelligence platforms as well bespoke research/insight, consultancy and event sponsorship. You will be selling to FMCG clients who rely on this critical market insight in order to make more informed decisions about their future growth/focus.

You will be out of the office 4 days a week meeting and networking with clients and your focus will be 99% new business development. Therefore, once you win a new client, you will hand over to the client support team and move on to the next prospect. As such, you will have to be the kind of person who loves new business.

Requirements for this Business Development Manager position

  • Strong new business sales experience
  • Experience of selling subscriptions/market insight reports (3+ years)
  • Outgoing, confident and strong at face to face sales
  • Highly articulate and professional
  • A natural networker
  • Able to work in a fact paced sales environment, juggling many priorities
  • A stable career history
