The Company 

An extremely established conference business with a particularly strong foothold within the defence and pharmaceutical sectors. They have a grown-up sales culture where you are judged by your results rather than how many phone calls you have made each day. Their ethos is to find relevant sales people who can come into work at 8:45am, work hard and smart, leave at 5:30pm and earn a lot of money. If that sounds appealing to you, then this could be the right company for you. 

They around 50 people in the company and have just had their most profitable year a great time to join. They are based in Central London. 

The role of Sponsorship Sales Manager

Our client is looking for 2 x Sponsorship Sales Managers:

  • One for their defence portfolio - selling across 8 events per year
  • One for their pharmaceutical portfolio - selling across 8 events per year

You will be responsible for selling a combination of exhibition packages and speaking slots and they expect people to make around 1 hour call time a day, so it isn't a phone bashing environment. Instead they are big believers in targeting people on proposals sent out, revenue in the pipeline and of course revenue billed. They have quite a flat structure and therefore look for hungry sales people who enjoy selling reputable events and want to earn good money. It will be a 50/50 split between new and existing business.

Requirements for these Sponsorship Sales Manager positions

  • 18months to 2 years delegate sales experience OR 1-2 years conference sponsorship sales experience
  • Someone confident but not egotistic
  • Articulate, confident and hard working
  • Money-motivated - someone always focused on hitting their target
  • Self-starter
  • Stable career history
