The Company

My client is the UK’s market leader at providing information to the corporate market on venues and events through a range of products that include (in print) their iconic annual guide and five stylish seasonal magazines. These are all under-pinned by their powerful website, plus e-newsletters, reader events and their award-winning exhibition.

The Role of Account Manager

The role entails selling advertising packages across the company`s full range of market-leading print and online media, as well as exhibition stands and sponsorships to both new business leads and some of their existing established accounts. The ideal candidates will have at least three years sales experience, preferably in media / exhibitions. They will be intelligent, sociable, confident, self-motivated and want to work in a fun yet driven environment where hard work and results are well rewarded.

Requirements for this Account Manager

  • 3 years media sales experience
  • Managing some of their larger and longer-term accounts and ensuring that they outperform year on year revenue expectations
  • Selling to key new business targets and sectors
  • Identifying and winning new business opportunities and exploiting them
  • To organise, plan, present & close deals in a logical manner
  • Determination to ensure that all client needs are planned for and put into place
  • Attend industry events including new restaurant and venue launches
  • Over achieve all revenue targets
  • Contribute to the development of the existing company portfolio, as well as new areas
